RARS wins the prestigious EURADA award

The Republic of Srpska Representation in Brussels had a great pleasure to welcome the Director of the Republic Agency for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (RARS) Mr. Marinko Đukić who payed a visit to Belgium for the presentation of the prestigious European Association of Development Agencies (EURADA) award.

During a friendly and very constructive conversation, our guest had the opportunity to get better acquainted with the work of Representation as well as to introduce the activities of the RARS in the field of innovative best practices in regional development.

However, as the most important contact point for supporting and promoting Srpska, Representation in Brussels provided full support to the Republic of Srpska Development Agency for its participation in this distinguished event.

In addition, the award was presented as the best practice for the project, "Instruments for identification, preparation and implementation of development projects" which RARS has been successfully implementing since 2015. The goal of the initiative was to strengthen the capacity of local development agencies and local communities.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of more than 60 European development agencies who had an opportunity to watch a brief promotional video emphasizing development possibilities of the Republic of Srpska as well as projects and programs implemented by the RARS.

Every year the EURADA Awards recognize best practices carried out by European Development Agencies. The winners receive recognition from expert peers due to the fact that the jury is composed of members of the EURADA Board of Directors. Aiming to celebrate and recognize innovative and best practices in regional development, EURADA has been organizing its yearly awards since 2015.
