From 25 to 28 June 2025, a delegation of professors and associates from the University of Banja Luka took part in a study visit to Brussels and Bruges, jointly organized by the Republic of Srpska Representation in Brussels and the University of Banja Luka.
The initiative was led and facilitated by the Representation as part of its strategic commitment to fostering academic and institutional cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and key actors within the European Union.
Throughout their stay in Brussels, the delegation engaged with representatives of EU institutions and gained first-hand insight into the functioning and significance of the European Union’s political and administrative architecture. Beyond institutional visits, participants explored the historical and cultural context of the Belgian capital, further enriching their understanding of the environment in which EU policies are shaped.
The programme also included a visit to the renowned College of Europe in Bruges, one of Europe’s foremost postgraduate institutions for European studies. There, the delegation met with members of the academic community, exchanged views on higher education and research cooperation, and learned more about the College’s mission and academic programmes.
This study trip was conceived as a platform to promote academic exchange, encourage knowledge transfer, and strengthen the Republic of Srpska’s connections with leading European institutions and networks.
The Representation of the Republic of Srpska in Brussels remains committed to supporting similar initiatives that build bridges between the academic community and international partners, and that contribute to the visibility and engagement of Srpska within the broader European space.
