Journalist from Benelux countries paid a visit to Republic of Srpska
The Republic of Srpska Representative in Brussels organized a visit of journalist, tourism operators and bloggers from the Benelux countries to the capital of Republic of Srpska in order to accentuate the establishment of the very first flight from Charleroi Airport in Belgium to Banja Luka International Airport operated by Ryanair, the largest low-cost airline in Europe .
The aim of this campaign is to elaborate and analyze the tourism potential of Republic of Srpska in relation to the Benelux market, which will be supplemented with existing information of the Tourist Organization of the Republic of Srpska and later on used as a basis for further promotional activities.
In order to improve the awareness of Republic of Srpska as a tourist destination and the possibility of easy travel to Banja Luka, a special emphasis will be placed on the promotion of adventure tourism, ethno and spa tourism etc.
This will also be an ideal opportunity for improving and strengthening the economy and passenger traffic of Srpska, which is expected to be more than 100,000 from the next year.
Prime Minister Cvijanovic stated that cooperation with "Ryanair" and establishment of air routes from Banja Luka Airport was very important for the Republic of Srpska and Banja Luka and would open further routes toward other European destinations.
"It is my pleasure to be present at this big event today which means a lot for our people, businessmen, tourists and commensurate the efforts that we have made in the previous period to have the flights established", the Prime Minister said and added that there were other airlines that were interested in this kind of cooperation.
Assistant Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation Nemanja Kovacevic believes the journalists from Belgium who are staying in Banja Luka will contribute to a higher number of tourists, attraction of foreign investors and creation of business opportunities for the local businessmen in Republic of Srpska.
