Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government and the IPA Adriatic Programme
As a continuation of last year's activities of the Representation in Brussels and active participation in conferences with the IPA Adriatic Cross-border Cooperation Programme, Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Zeljka Cvijanovic met in Banja Luka with Director of the Managing Authority of the IPA Adriatic Programme, Paola Di Salvatore.
Prime Minister Cvijanovic stated that Republic of Srpska has taken part in the IPA Adriatic Programme for several years which brought many benefits for many regions in the area of Adriatic sea.
The meeting with Prime Minister was preceded by the meeting with the Government Ministers during which concrete strategies related to energy, development of circular economy, environment, European cohesion and other strategic matter have been discussed.
In order to take forward their proven long-term successful cooperation Prime Minister Cvijanovic and Director of the Managing Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the IPA Adriatic Programme.
Signing of the Memorandum represents the basis for establishing of closer cooperation within the IPA Adriatic Programme and framework for realization of concrete projects and activities and applying good practices in the course of their implementation.
This was an occasion to stress strong commitment of the Republic of Srpska and its institutions to common goals within the European integration and to state that these activities have been the result of up-to-date cooperation and successful projects realized thus far.
The signing of the Memorandum which took place in the Administrative Center of the Government of the Republic of Srpska was attended by the Minister of Science and Technology. Jasmin Komic and Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, Zlatan Klokic.
