SAINT GEORGE SLAVA: Republic of Srpska supported renovation of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Antwer
The Serbian Orthodox Church in Antwerp celebrated an important holiday in honour of the patron Saint George- Đurđic. This traditional Serbian holiday, named “Slava”, is inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity List. The liturgy was served by the parent priest Milan Živanović with several priests and deacons. It was followed by a luncheon with an appropriate artistic performance by the Cultural community “Moravac” from Dusseldorf. During the festive celebration, parent priest Živković used this opportunity to thankfully speak about those who supported renovation of the Church Saint George in Antwerp, among them parent priest thanks to the Republika Srpska Representation in Brussels for generous help.
