RS Representative at The 10th plenary session of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly

The Head of the Republic of Srpska Representation in Brussels will participate in the 10th Plenary Assembly of the Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM) that will take place on 26 and 27 February 2019 at the invitation of Mr Juan Espadas Cejas, Mayor of Seville.

The ARLEM members will adopt the Recommendations as well as the calendar for the ARLEM activities during the coming year. The Assembly will also decide the topics and the rapporteurs for 2019.

Furthermore, the plenary session will adopt the two draft ARLEM reports: on youth entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean region, by rapporteur Olgierd Geblewicz (PL/EPP), President of West Pomerania Region, Poland and on governance and transparency in the Mediterranean region, by rapporteur Lüftü Savas, Mayor of Hatay, Turkey.

ARLEM will also award a successful entrepreneurial experience devoted to local development from one of the partner countries and having benefited of the support of respective local or regional authorities.

ARLEM brings together representatives of local and regional government in the EU – most of them members of the European Committee of the Regions – and their counterparts from Mediterranean states from the western Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa.
