Republic of Srpska representative attended meeting with Commissioner Creţu together with other regio
European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Corina Creţu, met yesterday with Representatives from the Regional Offices based in Brussels. The Republic of Srpska representative attended this meeting. This meeting was opportunity to discuss about current issues with other regional representatives, of which there are roughly 300 in Brussels, representing regional and local authorities.
During the meeting, Commissioner Creţu discussed 4 topics: migration, the Urban Agenda, simplification for beneficiaries of EU funds and the Future of Cohesion Policy post 2020. In the specific interest of the Republic of Srpska are funding opportunities, concerning Inter-Reg cooperation and cross border funding opportunities for SME's/
The Commissioner was particularly interested to hear about regions' practical experiences, the challenges they are facing and solutions they have found in relation to these topics.
