REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA HOSTED WILD WATER CANOEING EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS "BANJA LUKA - VRBAS 2015&q

European Canoe Association granted Kayak Canoe Club “Vrbas” from Banja Luka to host Wild water Canoeing Senior European Championships 2015. Kayak Canoe Club “Vrbas” has already been a successful organizer of the state and international competitions in wild water canoe disciplines, such as Junior Wild water Canoeing European Championships 2014, EUROPEAN SLALOM CHAMPIONSHIP FOR JUNIORS & U23, ICF WORLD CUP RACES etc. Among high dignitaries who attended championships were also Albert II Prince of Monaco, ECA President Albert Woods OBE, ECA Secretary General Mr. Branko Lovric, ICF WWC Committee Chairman Mr. Jens Perlwitz, Mr. Zbigniew Kudlik and ECA WWC Technical Delegate Mr. Tomislav Crnkovic. Banjaluka city was an organizer and a host for world championship in R6 rafting 2009. A natural course in a canyon of the Vrbas river which is equipped with the most modern lighting for night races and platforms which can accept about 1500 spectators welcome competitors as well as visitors.
