Membership of the European Union is one of the main strategic aims of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Republika Srpska is committed to this process and will do all that it can to ensure European accession. Bosnia and Herzegovina started negotiating a Stabilisation and Association Agreement, the first step towards EU accession, in 2005 and signed it on June 16th 2008.
Integration of the Western Balkans will be another step towards unification of the European continent, and will allow the countries of the region to become a part of European system which helps to ensure stability and economic development.
Aware of the fact that accepting European values means engagement of all parts of society and action at every level of government, Republika Srpska works continuously on building institutional and human resources with the aim of European integration.
